March 28. Thursday Night came on at the Cockpit, Whitehall, before the Lords of Appeal for Prizes, the final Determination of the Cause which has been so long depending, wherein the poor Lascars are concern'd, when their Lordships were pleas'd to condemn the Ship and Cargo of the Sancta Catharina as a good and lawful Prize, taken by his Majesty's Ship the Medway: By this most just and Lawful Condemnation, these poor unhappy Fellows that have been begging so long about the Streets of this Metropolis, will (in case they are shortly paid what is now given them) be able to pay their Debts, and return to their own Country with Cheerfulness, (These Lascars are Natives of the East-Indies brought over by Lord Anson.)
