Full Text

The Russians have miscarried in their design upon Colberg. The place was invested by a body of 2000 horse, the Russian fleet came before it, and the commander firing with too little powder, his ball fell short, which induced six fine frigates to run further in where they were speedily aground within reach as he presently convinced them of his artillery. They would nevertheless have been disengaged by the large ships, had not a strong north east wind drove them out to sea, by which, in all probability, the expedition is over for this year.
