The Hillsdale Standard

In another part of this paper may be found the proceedings of the indignation meeting held at Jonesville on the 11th inst. Such proceedings will compare well with the Erie gingerbread and pop beer war; we do not wish it to be understood that we advocate any northern or southern local matters in our County Fairs or County affairs, but all unprejudiced persons can at once see that a permanent location in a central part of the County for holding the Annual Agricultural and Mechanical Exhibitions is most desirable and economical to the Society.

It will be seen by an article in this paper from the Adrian Expositor, that the County of Lenawee have located grounds for their annual fairs; which we would recommend to our jealous neighbors, for a careful perusal.

In justice to all parties we feel ourselves duty bound to publish the proceedings of the meeting in full, so as it may be understood, and more particularly as the resolution requesting us to publish the proceedings was offered by a gentleman who years ago refused to take "any paper published in Hillsdale." He will find that his request is complied with in this paper, if he will take the trouble to borrow one of his neighbor.
