Full endorsement of the 1920 Christmas Seal Sale to be conducted in every community in Minnesota beginning December first, was voiced by representative teachers from every section of the state, in a resolution unanimously adopted at the concluding session of the annual meeting of the Minnesota Education Association in St. Paul recently.
The resolution reads:
"Whereas, the membership of the Minnesota Education Association is assembled in annual convention to deal adequately with the problems which vitally concern the mental, physical and social welfare of the citizens of this state, and
Whereas, the members of this Association, leaders in the civil activities of this state, deeply appreciate the necessity for waging an incessant, vigorous and effective fight against tuberculosis and other deadly diseases that the youth of this state may develop into healthy, happy citizens who shall be of maximum service to their community, state and nation,
therefore, be it
Resolved, that the Minnesota Education Association, heartily endorses the aims and accomplishments of the Minnesota Public Health Association, and urges that the citizens of every community in this state give generous support to the 1920 Christmas Seal Sale which finances the work of these voluntary public health agencies."
The goal of the 1920 Christmas Seal Sale in Minnesota is a public health fund of at least $250,000. County and local quotas are on the basis of 10 cents per capita.
