PROVIDENCE, AUG. 8.

A young gentleman in this town, who has been subject to the unhappy infirmity of walking in his sleep, having been persecuted by a robber in his dreams, arose with his eyes locked in slumbers, and threw himself from a window at the distance of three stories from the ground on a pavement, and we are extremely happy to learn that he suffered no alarming injury by the fall. It remains a question for philosophers to solve, how it happens that a human body may be precipitated from a height during sleep, without essential injury, which had it been done in waking moments, would have been attended by inevitable death.
