The royal printing-house at Paris, is an annual expense to the French Government of one hundred and fifty thousand livres; a printer has lately waited on the principal Minister, with a proposal to undertake the printing of all Government may want; not on condition of being paid but of paying 20,000. The Minister in consequence sent for the director of the King's Printing-house, and informed him of the proposition, giving him two hours, either to accept it himself or resign. At the end of which he readily agreed to the proposal!!!
