But the President considering the low state of their finances, and imitating the disinterested benevolence of his honour'd father the pious founder of that flourishing and divinely favoured institution, very generously made a present of the whole to the College, refusing to take the least reward for all his toil, labour and expense.
May this noble example animate others to assist this institution, so truly pious in its foundation, and peculiarly favoured of God, lately, in a very remarkable reformation of many of the youths there, who, as streams from this fountain, are likely to make glad the city of our God.
