Full Text

Giuseppe, Joseph. Little Joe.
God of the children, see him go,
wild as a wood thing hunted down
Prowling the rubble of a town.
Gutter for his bed.
Hunger for his bread.
Pain for his father, want for his mother,
Fear for his brother
Knowing all there is to hate,
Paying the piper for a tune
he never asked. His white face hits.
A flower to the bombing sun.
Jean, Joanne, Little John.
King as the bombers run.
God of the children, mend his shoes,
God of Thy heart
Give bread for his mouth, and hope
And Thy
Grace
Before it is too late.
(He has something as surprise
On Easter Jonah in his Un Is.
Christians Look, in his eyes
