WASHINGTON, (AP)
Alaska road commission barricades are going to have more meaning for two Anchorage men hereafter.

The pair, Carl E. Libbey and John McClary, planned to motor to their fishing stream at Willow although the willow road is not yet open.

To enter the Willow pass road they removed the road block and drove on. Their car stalled in a ditch on the mountain-side. They borrowed an ARC road grader. The grader went in the ditch.

U.S. Commissioner May Carter fined Libbey $50 for removing the road barricade, and McClary paid an equal amount for driving a grader without the owner's permission.

After payment of the fines, the fishing party continued on its way to Willow by train.
