TO ATTEND CONVENTION
Rev. Blaine Lambert left this morning for the Methodist Centenary celebration at Columbus, Ohio, a world missionary exposition celebrating one hundred years of missionary work by the American Methodist church. Model villages and natives from all over the world, immense pageants and choruses daily, lectures by leaders in church and nation, and the largest stereopticon and moving pictures ever shown, will be features of the exposition. Over 250,000 visitors are expected between June 20 and July 13. It is also the culmination of the church's campaign to place $105,000,000 and 13,000 new workers in missionary and reconstruction work in the next five years in which the local church has gone splendidly over the top for its quota, and the whole, amounting to nearly $115,000,000, with other benevolences, was expected to be reached by last Sunday.
Mr. Lambert will visit a brother and sister in Eveleth, en route east and return via Mankato, bringing home with him Mrs. Lambert and children who are visiting relatives there. They will be home by Sunday July 13.
