Capt. Shetter, with 20 Horse, was on the other Side of the Lippe, fell upon a Party of 160 French Horse, totally defeated them, and made some Prisoners. He went further on towards Wezel, met a Convoy of 30 Waggons, with Flour and Wine, and 100 Oxen, defeated that Party, cut all the Sacks that contained the Flour, and threw it into the River; stove all the Casks of Wine, took again 30 Prisoners, drove the Oxen into the River, 30 of which were drowned, the rest being brought safe to the Army without the Loss of a Man, though fired at by the Cannon of Wezel.
