Writ of Error Denied.

Attorney Charles Patterson of the firm of Patterson and Wallace said to a Herald reporter this morning that he had just received a telegram announcing that the application for a writ of error in the McLane case had been denied by the higher court. The McLane case was tried in this county. The plaintiff Mrs. McLane sued the Texas and Pacific for damages on account of the accidental killing of her husband, who was an engineer. The jury found for plaintiff awarding her $10,000. The case was then appealed. Patterson and Wallace were attorneys for the plaintiff.
