At the request of the El Centro Chamber of Commerce, C. K. Nye, deputy-in-charge of the Los Angeles branch of the State Real Estate department, and J. G. Moodey, in charge of farm loan investigations will be in Imperial Valley on June 9 and 10 for the purpose of making an inspection of the land in the Chocolate mountains being sold under the name of Salvation Valley land and to get first hand information concerning this arid, mountain land, which is being sold throughout the east and middle west under the impression that it will be irrigated by the All-American canal. With renewed activities in the sale of these worthless lands, the chambers of commerce of Imperial Valley, Los Angeles Better Business Bureau, Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, California Real Estate association and the State Real Estate department have united to put an end to the fraudulent sale of these lands which have done much to hurt Imperial Valley and are creating an unfavorable impression of all of Southern California in the sections where the sales schemes are being carried on. It is planned to give these fraudulent sales publicity through the chambers of commerce and better business bureaus in order that the general public may be made to realize that all of Imperial county is not Imperial Valley.
