Dr. W. K. Payne, president of Savannah State College, is district chairman of sustaining-membership enrollment in the Chatham Division of the Coastal Empire Council, Boy Scouts of America.
Members of the division's steering committee for the enrollment program are Mrs. Phillip W. Cooper, John B. Clemmons, Joseph S. Adkins, J. A. Singleton, Walter J. Bogan and A. L. Cox.
The sustaining-enrollment effort will officially get under way this week.
The enrollment will provide the opportunity for scouters, parents, and friends of Scouting to contribute to the financial needs of the ever-expanding Scouting program in our community.
