With the Eighth Army in Sendai, Japan, July 22, 1949, Technical Sergeant Charles E. Nixon of 3240 Gilboa Avenue, Zion, Illinois, is now serving in the Public Health Section of the Saitama Military Government Team, located on the outskirts of Tokyo.
Sergeant Nixon entered the Army in 1933, and served with the 9th Army Force in the European Theatre of Operations during the war. He sailed for his tour of overseas duty on January 6, 1947, to Japan, where he was assigned to his present unit.
