Washington, May 22. --The Richmond papers of the 19th inst., claim a great victory over Sigel at New Market, and say they would have captured his whole army had it not been for our cavalry.
According to their accounts Sigel ran 20 miles without stopping, abandoning his hospitals, burning trains &c.
These papers state their losses at 20,000 in the battles with the Army of the Potomac, but claim a victory every time. They acknowledge the loss of 20 guns, but are silent as to the number of prisoners.
Trains were running to Guernsey's station during last week. Gen Meade has issued an order complimentary to Gen Tyler's division and Gen Kautz's brigade, for their gallantry in the action of Thursday. There was no fighting on Friday.
