BODIES REPORTED FOUND,
Coroner Goette. However. Could Find No Foundation for the Report.

There was a rumor about the city yesterday, which was given considerable credence, to the effect that the bodies of Lieut. Henry S. Morgan and the rigger, Harry Smith, had been found on Hilton Head beach.

The report came to Coroner Goette yesterday morning, and he made an investigation of it, but could get no confirmation. There was much interest in the report in the city yesterday, and an investigation of the matter was made by several parties, it seems, without result.

It was expected that the bodies would be brought to the city on the Tybee train last night, but they did not come, and nothing more has been heard from them except the report which came to the coroner. The steamer Dandy Jim was at Tybee yesterday, continuing the search.
