There are conflicting reports as to who will be the lucky landlord of the new depot hotel at Deming. The announcement is made that Fred Harvey, who so successfully and satisfactorily runs the railroad eating houses along the line of the A. T. & S. F., is to have it. But report comes from the Southern Pacific road that a cousin of Gov. Stanford is the lessee. We hope for the sake of the traveling public that Mr. Harvey will run the hotel, for the protege of Stanford is said to have made a flat failure of the hotel business in California.
