U. S. Appointments -The Washington Correspondent of the Herald announces the following appointments as either made or determined, viz:

Charles J. Ingersoll of Pa. (M. C.) Minister Plenipotentiary to France, (if Mr. King can be elbowed out.)
B. F. Elmore of S. C. (formerly M. C.) Minister Plenipotentiary to London, vice Edward Everett.
Auguste Davezac of N. Y. Charge d'Affaires to Holland.
W. J. Stiles of Georgia (late M. C. Charge d'Affairs to Austria, vice D. Jenifer of Md to be recalled.
Geo. W. Jones of Tenn. (late M. C.) Surveyor General for Wisconsin, Iowa, &c, vice Gen. James Wilson of N. H. removed.
James Hoban, of Washington, District Attorney for D. C. vice P. R Fendall, removed.
Andrew A. Kincannon, (late M. C. from Tenn.) Marshal of Southern Mississippi, vice :Miller.
Thomas L. Hamer, (late M. C. of Ohio) is talked of as Commissioner of the Patent Office, vice H. L. Elsworth, to be shuffled out.
