We hear from Falmouth in the County of Barnstable, that on Saturday last was Se'nnight a Whaleman arrived there; and informed that on the Tuesday before he was chased for several Hours by a French Privateer Brig. in Lat. 37. but by favour of the Night he got Clear,--the next Morning he was Chased again by the Same Brig. but she soon left him. and gave Chase to a Ship which then hove in Sight, who soon came up with and fought her for several Hours, but the Ship being too many for her, the Privateer was glad to make off as fast as she could.
