The Burlington circle of Fenians held a meeting on Tuesday evening last, at which the following resolutions were adopted:
Resolved, That the Canadian authorities in sentencing to death Col. R. B. Lynch, and Rev. J. McMahon non-combatants, who were present on the first day of June, at the battle of Fort Erie--have outdone the Mother Government in the trials of the Fenian prisoners in Ireland, and have done more to encourage Fenianism and unite Irishmen everywhere, than any event yet recorded in our history.
Resolved, That, henceforth the Fenian Brotherhood and the friends of human liberty, standing shoulder to shoulder will fight on, and fight ever, until Irish Independence is fully established.
Resolved, That Chief Justice Wilson, may well be called the great Fenian Organizer for Canada, and his death sentences, the rallying edicts for Fenian crusades.
Resolved, That a Battalion of two companies be organized in this city, to be called "The Fenian Guards of Burlington." for the purpose of attending the next Fenian Picnic.
Resolved, That Vermont, one of the advance guards of the Union, on the North -whose love for liberty is as pure as her own Green Mountain air, has proclaimed to-day in her legislative capacity that she is for freedom, and against oppression,-and therefore with the Fenian Brotherhood.
