Another Candidate.—The Cincinnati Gazette (a Whig paper) says:

"There was a gathering in of the clans from the counties of Hamilton, Clermont, Warren, Brown, and Clinton, near Loveland, on the Little Miami railway, to fix the site of a bridge. A large number were present. John S. Buckingham, a Democrat of the first water, addressed them at length on national affairs, opposing Gen. Cass, and advocating Gen. Butler as a candidate for the Presidency. After he had concluded, the question was put to the 'multitude present' whether they would support Gen. Butler, and the response was hearty, and, as we are informed, nearly unanimous in the affirmative. Cass, at that meeting, was 'no where.'"
