Nicholas Wade, a Farmer in this Town, observing one of his Sheep ready to Lamb, put her into the Barn; the next morning found her dead, out of whom he took a lifeless Monster, much resembling an over-grown human Foetus; or a large female Negro Child; the skin was black and perfectly smooth, except the Scalp, which was hairy; the Face was nearly in human form, the Cheeks large and full, and a perfect Negro Nose; the Trunk or Body being much in form, having a flat Breast, about ten Inches over, and the length near that proportion; the Limbs likewise resembling the Human both in bigness and joinings, especially the Shoulders, Hips and Knees, admitting of the same turns and motions. The parts resembling the Sheep were the lower Jaw, Ears, Feet, and Tail, which was a stub about two inches long. This Monster has been critically viewed by a number of Persons; and they all agree in the above Description.
