The Jackson party say the election in Albemarle will be contested. The Charlottesville Advocate invites, nay challenges, a scrutiny into the polls, and says, that for one bad vote in favor of the Whig candidates, three were given to the Jackson candidates. The party have attempted to break the force of the defeat, by declaring that it was effected by non-resident voters. The Advocate says that gentlemen of both parties have examined the polls, and find nine more non-resident votes for the Jackson than for the Whig candidates.
