WHS Bulldogs, BTW Wildcats Of Pensacola, Fla., Tieup Friday

The travel-worn Booker T. Washington High School Bulldogs will turn to Harper's Field for their second game of the year, Friday afternoon, when they take the field against the Washington High School Wildcats of Pensacola, Fla., in a gruelling homecoming battle.

After games at Birmingham, Spartanburg, Greenville, and Tuskegee, the Bulldogs are happy to be back in the Gate City. On their first appearance here, the Bulldogs dropped a thriller to the Spencer High Waves, so make no mistake about it, they will go all-out to score this tilt in the win column.

The Wildcats will be out to get revenge for the 12-7 defeat suffered last year at the hands of the Bulldogs, when the Washington High lads completely baffled them with their spectacular razzle-dazzle. The Bulldogs, on the other hand, will be seeking to make it two in a row over the Florida aggregation.

SWINNEY TO SPARK BULLDOGS' ATTACK

Captain James Swinney, brilliant ball-carrier will spark the Bulldogs offensive attack, and he will get expert help from Roy Wolfe, Nathaniel Talmadge and Paul Iverson. This is the combination that Head Coach Lee (Baker) is banking on in this all-important contest.

With their amazing speed the Bulldog backs are expected to give the Wildcats a busy afternoon. The Bulldogs forward wall stacks up with Rudolph Broughton and Edward Crooker at the ends; Andrew Benton, Patrick Bell, tackles; Marcus Stone, Otis King, guards and Nathaniel Young will take over the pivot post. Also slated for action in the Bulldogs lineup are Howard Smith, Oscar Nichol, Charles Lawrence, James Anelts, Fred Clark, Donald Summerlin, Jesse Smith, Frank Granville, Luther Washington, Gartherll Williams, and James Solomon.
