Tech Applicants Rejected . . Again

Georgia Tech has again rejected the applications of Atlanta Negro high school honor graduates. Eight of the ten Negro applicants who were rejected, formally requested that they be reconsidered.

At press time, the following seven students had received individual letters stating that they would not be reconsidered because of unsatisfactory test results: Lowell Vaughn, Jr., Homer McEwen, Winston Meadows, James Elliot, Sanse Fitzpatrick, Wendell Johnson and Billy White.

Robert Barber the eighth student, had not received his letter at the time the Inquirer went to press. Several of the letters indicated that the Negro students had satisfactory scores in mathematics but were unsatisfactory in other areas.
