MR. Harpy-There was quite an unfortunate circumstance took place in this neighborhood on Saturday, 18th inst. The only son of Simeon Chapman, was drowned whilst he and another boy were playing about the Mill Pond of Mr. Morrison, on Hatcha Creek. This circumstance may keep Mr. Chapman at home for several days, and it may be rumored that he has declined running for Tax Collector, but such will not be the case, for he will run through if he lives.
Yours respectfully.
