The Swallow Man of War, lately arrived from the East-Indies, has brought the following Advice; That the Prince in Rebellion against the great Mogul, who has been hitherto supported by the French, to whom he has granted great Privileges, and a large Extent of Territory, was with his Army, at the Departure of the Swallow, within Sight of Delhi. Some therefore imagine, that the formidable Squadron, now said to be fitting from Britain is designed to maintain the British Superiority in the Indian Seas where the French have already got a very considerable Naval Armament. --- The same Advices further add, that there is a great Appearance of a Rupture between the English and French in those Parts, or at least between the Indians in the Interest of the English Company, and the Subjects of the new Nabob of Golconda, in which the two Companies may possibly be concerned as Auxiliaries. However it be, when the above Vessels came away. Tents were getting ready at Fort St. David's, and other Military Preparations making, for Offence or Defence.
