From the Clarksburgh, (Va.) Intelligencer, of July 1.

The following very singular account was copied from the papers filed in one of the County Courts west of the mountains in this state, and not 1000 miles from this town. It appears that this account was filed by a Tavern Keeper, as his defence in a suit.

The above is a true copy from the record, and who will venture, or even dare say, that he was a wet soul. Ah this was the proceeds of one calendar month—a wet month, say March.
