Bigger Air Force for U. S.

Behind President Roosevelt's request to Congress, for an expansion of more than 700 per cent in this Nation's aeronautical research program is a story of international rivalry, espionage and striving which forms one of the outstanding romances of aviation history.

That story is told in The Star next Sunday by Joseph S. Edgerton, well known aviation writer, who describes the thousands of research engineers and scientists of many nationalities and international spies and agents behind the scenes. Patriotic volunteers such as Col. Charles A. Lindbergh loom large in the background of the American effort, according to Mr. Edgerton.
