RAPID GROWTH ON EDENTON-MACKEYS FERRY

Traffic on the Edenton-Mackeys Ferry automobile transport for both passenger and automobile has outgrown former service. A short while ago a 14 car ferry replaced the six car ferry, according to advices from Edenton. Now tourists and local travel across Albemarle Sound demand a double service. June 25, two ferry boats will be on this run, making runs every hour and a half from both sides, starting at 8 a. m. and throughout the day until 5:30 p. m. which will be very attractive to automobile travellers. One wonders if a bridge across Albemarle Sound will not be demanded within a few years.
