DISASTROUS FIRE.

The large Woollen Manufactory of Reuben Holgate, Esq. of this place, was entirely destroyed by fire early yesterday morning. The fire originated in a small dying house, which was detached a short distance from the main building. When discovered, (about 2 o'clock.) the dying house was nearly consumed, and the flames had just reached the manufactory: but before sufficient assistance could be obtained, the fire had progressed so far that it was impossible to extinguish it. A portion of the cloth in the building, the books, and some few articles of the machinery were saved. The entire loss is estimated at from four to five thousand dollars. We have not learned that there was any insurance.
