Vanderbilt Is Happy
NASHVILLE, Oct. 7—There is great rejoicing in the Commodores' camp over the arrival of 'Bo' George, the crack prep quarter, who came in personally escorted by a special McGugin emissary, who finally prevailed upon George to return to the Vanderbilt fold, which he deserted two weeks ago after one day's work-out.
For four years George was the unanimous selection of all critics of an all-prep eleven, his work with Morgan having been exceptionally brilliant. Commodore supporters believe that George will be able to finally settle the puzzling quarterback question, which has been giving Coach McGugin no end of worry.
Curlin is ineligible on account of having failed to pass an examination, and while Boensch continues his great punting, he has had practically no experience in a big gridiron struggle, and this season McGugin has several scores to wipe out and is leaving no stone unturned to dig up a finished field general.
