Full Text

A correspondent observes, that the corruption of every order and rank of British subjects is arrived to such a pitch, that it is impossible to save the empire from ruin. Parliament is bought, and a venal majority makes the Minister absolute. The representation of the people is become a farce, and votes at an election are sold like goods at an auction, to the highest bidders. Roman Catholicks. At any rate the militia of that kingdom is not to be embodied. There is nothing his Majesty so much dreads as a militia.
