EXCELLENT FOR PIG TROUGH.

Handy Device Can Easily Be Put Together to Prevent Leaking

by

Warping or Knocking About.

Here is a handy device for making
a pig trough
that I noticed on a
neighbor's farm.

The trouble with
most wooden pig troughs is that they
will get to leaking after a short period in use caused by their being wrenched
from the hogs rooting them about or
by reason of warping.

This simple device, which consists
of a piece of flat iron on one end
with a bolt and nut on the other will

hold the ends of the trough in place
and keep it from leaking. If an iron
washer is placed beneath the nut it
will be a simple matter to tighten
the nuts if occasion demand it. The
old irons from a wagon box are just
the things to use for this purpose.

If the flat irons are attached with
small bolts they will hold better than
if put on with screws or nails.
