A Mother Kills Her Child and Commits Suicide.—Coroner C. C. Farrell, of Jersey City, was called upon yesterday to hold an inquest on the bodies of Mrs. Sarah M. Earl and her infant, who died at the corner of Warren and Fair streets, both of whom were found suspended by their necks. It appears that the woman first hung her child to the bed-post with a cord and then hanged herself by the neck with a bed-cord from the top of a door. She was ill for several days last week, and was also in much tribulation in reference to her husband, who is said to have gone to Nassau over two months since on a blockade runner, and who was reported to have lost his life. The jury rendered a verdict in accordance with the above facts. Deceased leaves two grown up children by a former husband.
