GEORGIA ELECTION.
The election for Congress in Georgia, and the State Legislature, occurred on the first Monday in this month. Seventy one counties give the following returns:
Georgia is entitled to nine members, and elects by general ticket.
Of the above gentlemen, Messrs. Clayton, Newman, Foster, (member of the present Congress) Jones and Gamble, are nullifyers.
The remainder, like Judge Barbour and many others, were afraid of the name, although the letters of several of them meant nullification or nothing. As it respects Georgia interests they were all nullifyers, carrying their theory into practice.
