Carnival Days Are Here Again

Preparations are being carried to completion for the Virgin Islands Carnival to open in St. Thomas on Thursday April 29 to run for three to four days. Due to the efforts of Gov't Secretary Claunch a writer for Look Magazine is on hand to cover the festivities. A Public Relations man will arrive tomorrow to observe the events for future publicity purposes.

Mainland V.I.'s are converging on the city built on three hills for the merry making as entertainers from near and far get ready to pack the days brimful of fun and excitement. A boat race from Tortola to St. Thomas, will give lovers of the salty spray, the helm and the rudder a Roman holiday.

Wearing of the special carnival hat several days in advance of the opening day is warming the hearts and stimulating the spirits of the people.
