VOTE FOR DECENCY
Vote your ticket like a man,
Don't vote to build political clan,
Nor tie up in a political clique
By playing the same political trick.
Vote for men of real merit;
This'll give results, don't fear it.
Vote for men, big and broad,
Who will spurn every fraud.
Don't be gagged on the old dope,
Nor be hung with your own rope;
Just vote for men of high ideals,
To whom real decency appeals.
The good women will vote right
Don't try to prejudice them in the fight.
You may think of them on election day,
But they will vote the right way.
Let the good women have a voice
And vote their own choice.
If you want the woman support
You must always have decent report;
They will not vote for a whiskey head,
But a decent man instead—
Woe unto him that shoots dice!
The woman's vote will not let him suffice.
