Full Text
The Western Sentinel.—This paper is now conducted with much ability by Col. J. W. Alspaugh and Geo. W. Sites, Esq. It is doing excellent service for the cause of Breckinridge and Lane in the Sixth District. No one, perhaps, has contributed more than Col. Alspaugh has to make the Sixth District Democratic; and the Colonel has the satisfaction of knowing that his services in the cause are appreciated by the Democracy generally. We owe an apology to Mr. Sites for not having sooner noticed his connection with the Sentinel. He wields the pen of a ready writer, and is a sterling Democrat.
