Trouble in Butchertown.

Sophie Johnson, a Butchertown damsel, took two or three shots at a man named Mike Smith, who was raising a disturbance in her house last night. This morning Smith, who claims to own a ranch in Paradise valley, swore out a complaint against the woman and Constable Wolf arrested her. In the justice court she pleaded not guilty and told her story of the affair. She said she did not fire at Smith but at the ceiling; that she did it to scare him, as he was acting very boisterous and she was afraid of him. Smith admitted that he was drunk and Judge Rougon discharged the woman with an admonition not to do so any more.
