P. S. Cude, who has been manager of the Henderson office of the North Carolina State Employment Service the last fourteen months, or since October, 1938, will leave the latter part of the week for Lumberton to take up his duties as manager of the office there. His successor here has not yet been announced.
Mr. Cude came here from Winston-Salem, where he was assistant manager of the employment office. He has been with the service more than five years, or since May, 1934.
In Lumberton, Mr. Cude will be in charge of the employment service for three counties, Robeson, Bladen and Scotland.
It is expected that an acting manager will be named temporarily for the Henderson office. During Mr. Cude's stay here, the work of the local office was greatly expanded to the point that the service reached into many trades and callings in bringing employer and worker together for the mutual advantage of both.
