Full Text

EDINBURGH, Mar. 12 - Believing herself slowly dying for 20 years as the result of a nervous disease, Miss Margaret Dunn five years ago determined to try the outdoor treatment. Today she is a strong and healthy woman. She took up her quarters in a wood in the western highlands, and lived in a hammock slung between two trees. She wore the roughest woolen garments and took to sandals. In the summer she found her chief occupation in taking sun and sand baths; in the winter she amused herself with snow baths. Of the latter she speaks in the highest terms. 'Nothing can equal the luxuriously stimulating effects of the snow bath. It is warmer than water, and the minute crystals of the pure snow fulfill the function of flesh gloves and give a delightful feeling of freshness.' Miss Dunn is now advocating the open air life, winter and summer, as the cure for all the ills that the flesh is heir to.
