Hello Everyone:--Living in sunshine, smelling the fragrance of flowers, hearing the sweet notes of birds brought back sweet memories of a few months ago, when I was back in Morgan county, teaching first aid. I wish to thank all my friends and editors of the local papers for the friendly cooperation. I have heard from a number of you, giving me local events, Christmas cards, presents, etc. One who is far away from home, is the only one who appreciates the splendid courtesy shown by each of you, backing up the morale of the boys that are in service. It might be interesting to the readers to know that I have been placed at present in the air force signal corps, special training for frame work or in others words, trouble shooter, at a switch board. As our basic training is completed here we will in the near future be placed in technical training schools, somewhere in U. S. for a special training course.
I have made friends with men from every direction. We have music, entertainment here, and as you folks know, I am right there when that happens.
So don't forget that I am thinking of you, also remember that a card, letter or a local county paper will be greatly appreciated.
When I get my furlough, then I can shake hands directly.
So long.--Pvt. Wilford L. Scott, 1139 Tech. Sch. Sqd., Sp. Tr. Unit No. 66, BTC. No. 9, AAFTTC, Miami Beach, Florida.
