Dear editor;
There are 43 people in Greenbelt interested in buying a dinosaur. If I had a stock of them I could have made a killing. I still don't know who is responsible for the advertisement offering an animal that is extinct for at least 100 years, and placing my phone number in the ad. (Or is there really one for sale and the phone number was a typographical error)
Most people calling me wanted to know what color it was. Others wanted to know the price, and several wanted to know why I was getting rid of it! Was it male or female, one asked.
The calls began Thursday evening and lasted well over the weekend. If any one tells you advertising in the News-Review doesn't pay off, send them to me. Incidentally, as you know, I told all callers they could see the animal by visiting your home. Friday, your wife called mine, and told us to stop sending them over...
I'm thinking of printing stickers and giving them to callers: "I shop Dinosaur!"
It is amazing that so many residents would want a pet even though they are forbidden by GVHC. Regarding this, I would like to take advantage of your offer to poll candidates for the city council on vital topics in the community. I would like them to state: are they for or against dinosaurs?
