ANOTHER P. G. PILLAR GONE
Ex-Special Miller Leaves Under an Assumed Name
F. H. Miller, the ex-special policeman and ex-secretary of the Schutzen Club, has got away at last. He tried to skip on the S. S. Arawa last Sunday, but was prevented through the intervention of the police. Miller owed a certain saloon keeper in town over one hundred dollars, but if for drink the debt is not collectable by process. There are no less than two women mixed up with the cause of the young man's sudden departure. Miller called at the Custom House two or three days ago and took out a passport. This morning shortly before the leaving of the S. S. Monowai he boarded the steamer and bade farewell to "love and home." As he had his passport no one could stop him. He left under an assumed name, as his cognomen could not be found on the passenger list at the Custom House.
