We have been furnished by the Clerk of the County Court of this County, with an abstract of the Tax lists returned to the last term of said Court, so far as they relate to the additional subjects of taxation created by law at the last session of the General Assembly of this State—by which it appears, the revenue of the State will be increased one thousand five hundred and thirty-two dollars and fifty-eight cents by the operation of the law in this county—Here it is :—
Whole amount of interest given in $49,486, on which a tax of three cents upon every dollar is imposed, making $1484 58
Number of lawyers, dentists and others, whose salaries and fees exceed $500, sixteen, on each of whom a tax of three dollars is imposed, making $48 00
Total increase of revenue, $1532 58
