The transfer of Supervisor J. D. Guthrie from the Apache National Forest with headquarters at Springerville, Arizona, to the Coconino National Forest at Flagstaff, Arizona, vice Forest Supervisor Drake, resigned, is announced by the District Forester at Albuquerque, N. M. Mr. Guthrie is a graduate of Union college and Yale university. He has been in charge of the Apache National Forest for the past five years. The new post is considered the most important of the National Forests of the Southwest. Forest Examiner Frederic Winn will succeed to the charge of the Apache National Forest by promotion. Mr. Winn graduated from Rutgers college in 1902.
