Fairmont—The Fairmont city council had a $45,000 load lifted from its shoulders. The sum represents the city's share of the $65,000 sewage disposal plant, the balance of $20,000 having been a federal grant. The city water and light commission informed the city council it would take over the disposal plant bonds and retire them as they mature from earnings of the municipal light and power plant. The light and power plant also has contributed $16,000 toward municipal expenses in the past two years.
