Indian Leader Warns Of World War III

WASHINGTON. (SNS) Jawaharlal Nehru, former president of the National Congress, according to Reuters News Service, forecast a third war which would spring from a revolt of Asiatics.

Reuters quoted Nehru as saying "It is as certain as anything can be certain in this uncertain world that the countries of Asia will not submit willingly to any empire or domination and will revolt against it."

It will be continuing revolt of millions with passion behind it which even an atom bomb won't suppress, and from that revolt will develop that terrible thing—the third world war ended Nehru as he spoke to an all-India states' peoples conference.

According to Nehru America is underwriting the British empire which is fighting a losing battle in Asia. He further stated that, "There is a perilous resemblance between the war of British intervention in Indonesia and the other war of intervention which Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany waged in Spain and which was the prelude to World War II."
